Steakhouse Ponchos in Cologne

This is a great steakhouse in the heart of Cologne Old Town. Have been fortunate to have been visiting for the last 30 years and have enjoyed the experience, every time. The Argentinian house red is highly recommended. Antonido, are you still there? Jon, the British guy with curly hair!

The best steak in all of Cologne. Again and again for years. My favorites have always been the fillet steak, corn soup and poncho-style prawns. I'm looking forward to coming back after the lockdown!

Oh man... I was there during the 70 s... And it still exists.. Still the same Ambiente.. The food,... Excellent... The people, excellent... You won't regret to give it a try.

Very personable waiter and delicious food !! Personally, the salad was dressed a little too much with oil and the palm hearts had too much cocktail sauce. Nice quaint ambience.

At most steakhouses, the price scares me off ... what a piece of meat you should push over and each side dish extra. It's no different here ... but at least worth every penny. Simply super great cooked, great quality and nice, attentive staff and nice atmosphere. That also makes up for the manageable and rather small menu. Just seriously consider whether you can eat steak 2 days in a row. Unfortunately, I'm not in Cologne any longer :)

Best steak I've ever eaten. Friendly service, nice setting to sit and really worth its 5 stars! To finish Argentinian schnapps on the house. Recommended for anyone who likes a good piece of meat!

We loved it. It deserves 5 stars because it has been perfect in everything: delicious food, excellent service and suggestive location. The waiter offered us an initial Entrance and a very good brandy at the end. Definitely recommend it, 100% satisfied.

Expensive but worth every penny, you can't put a price on quality. The steak is amazing.

Have been eating there for over 30 years now ... can only say consistent quality ... were the first guests today after COVID19 ... what an experience ... I 500g entrecote, my wife a 400g beef fillet both medium and as always the point grilled ... and a special thanks of course to the always well-intentioned and attentive staff 🙏🏼🙌🏻

I didn't expect to find such a good steak bar in the old town of Cologne. The restaurant is located in the basement but is so rustic / rustic that it is not noticeable. Service was quick and attentive. The entrecote is not fixed on the menu, but is probably always available in the sizes 300, 400, 500g. I had the 500g steak and it was outstanding. Meat quality was great and the cooking degree was spot on, which is not so easy with the size.

The atmosphere is nice, service super nice and runs fast! Food is not special in serving beet sugar. I kind of missed the layout on the plate. But the quality is of the utmost importance to those guests and that is what it is ultimately about. Good fries, buttery lamb's lettuce with vegetables and a good piece of meat !! 👌 (real steak eater)

Very authentic Argentinien steakhouse, just like we visited in Buenos Aires. Friendly and helpful staff. I ordered the 300g filet for around €29 with a side of pomme frites. The steak was delicious, grilled to perfection on their Argentinien grill, tender and tasty. Highly recommended for a good value, tasty steak in a pleasant atmosphere.

Got our reservation time wrong and then said we only had an hour. The food arrived after 45 minutes so we were forced to eat as quickly as possible which ruined the experience.

Fast service, reserved corner for couples. Sufficient shin and good potatoes. But I would have expected some more vegetables close to so much meat.

Fantastic steak, great atmosphere, always crowded, make sure you book! Can be a bit hot if you sit next to the grill!

I think the chef has to up his game if they want to stay in business. A simple Funghi pizza should be better . It is not acceptable to have a raw dough.

Amazing steak! Extremely small and crowded place down a side street. You'll be elbow to elbow with each other, and the waiter was WAY too rude and pushy for tips, but if you like meat; worth it.

Wasn't super impressed. Sat downstairs and sweated the whole time -- very hot. Food was just OK and service was super slow, especially the drinks.
